Admin tools
Look up settings on your phone, link app users to JobNimbus, and handle property pages and homeowner requests.
The Admin and Field & scheduling sections of More hold the team's settings, access control, and the tools for the website's property pages. Share links are covered in Files and sharing.
Look up settings
More → Settings groups settings the same way as the dashboard's Settings: Team & access, Company data, Integrations, Sharing, Estimating, and Your account. Find one with Search settings….
The app shows these read-only, so you can look things up in the field:
- Users: JobNimbus users with their role, location, and contact details. Tap one to see their email, phone, and last web and mobile login.
- Groups: each team group's Managers and Members.
- Custom Fields: the fields for contacts, jobs, and work orders, with their type and options.
- Workflows: each workflow's statuses as a List or Board, in order or by stage.
- Locations: office addresses, phone numbers, and calendar settings.
- Lead Sources, Units of Measurement, and Share Links.
Users, groups, custom fields, workflows, locations, lead sources, and units are changed in JobNimbus or the dashboard, not in the app. Access Control, Integrations, and Follow Up Boss open the dashboard in your browser. Appearance at the bottom is the same setting as on Account.
Link app users to JobNimbus
Only admins see More → Access control. It does the same linking as the JobNimbus Link column in the dashboard's Access control. In the app, JobNimbus users are called CRM users. Each app user acts as the JobNimbus user they're linked to and sees what that user can see. Without a link, they're blocked. Links are saved in roofingBoss only.
- Go to More → Access control.
- Find the person with Search people. Pick Not linked to see only the people who are blocked.
- Tap the person.
- Pick their JobNimbus user. Find one with Search CRM users.
To remove a link, pick Not linked in step 4, then tap Unlink in Unlink CRM account?.
Each row shows Linked, Blocked, or Customer, the JobNimbus user they're linked to (such as "CRM: not linked"), and when they last used roofingBoss, such as Active now or Last seen 2h ago. People who aren't linked or admins show Not tracked. "CRM: linked user is no longer in the CRM" means the JobNimbus user they were linked to was removed from JobNimbus, so link them to another one. Roles and the full user table are in the dashboard.
Unlinking a person blocks their access until they're linked again. If you unlink yourself, the app can lock you out, including this screen.
Manage property pages
Property inspections and Homeowner requests are for Blue Sky staff only. They're the phone version of the dashboard's Property Pages. Roof details and hidden pages are saved in roofingBoss only.
Record a roof inspection:
- Go to More → Property inspections, or tap Property page in a job's or contact's More menu to fill in the address.
- Under Find a home, enter the Street address and ZIP, then tap Find home.
- Tap the home. Its screen shows the parcel, the year it was built, and whether it already has roof details. View public page opens its page on the website.
- Under Record a roof inspection, fill in What was it?, the Date, and what you know: Roof material, Measured size (squares), Pitch, Stories, Year the roof was installed, Condition, and County roof permits.
- Describe the roof under What we saw. It's shown on the public page, so describe the roof, not the people who live there.
- Tap Save roof details.
The details show on the home's public page within about a minute.
Handle homeowner requests. More → Homeowner requests lists requests from home pages to hide the page or correct its details, under Open and Recently handled. Confirm the requester owns the home before you approve.
- Approve a hide request, then tap Hide page. The page stops showing right away.
- For a correction, update the home with Record a roof inspection first. Then tap Approve and Mark done.
- Decline closes the request and leaves the page as it is.
To bring back a hidden page, tap Restore page on the request or on the home's screen.
