Team
See who's using roofingBoss right now, on the web or the phone app, and how much each person used it over the last four weeks.
The Team page shows who's online, the way Slack does. Go to Sidebar → Team. Anyone on the team can see it: admins and everyone linked to a JobNimbus user. Customers using the portal never show up here. Admins also get an Activity tab with four weeks of daily use.
Online status and activity are saved in roofingBoss only. JobNimbus never sees them.
Read someone's status
| Status | Means |

| Active (green dot) | They clicked, typed, scrolled, or moved the mouse in roofingBoss in the last 10 minutes, or they have the phone app open on screen. |
| Away (yellow dot) | roofingBoss is open, but they haven't touched it for 10 minutes, or the phone app is in the background. |
| Offline (hollow dot) | None of their computers or phones has checked in for about 5 minutes. They closed the tab, signed out, or their device is asleep. |
The line under each name says where and when:
- Active on web, Active on phone, or Active on web and phone
- Away on web · active 25m ago
- Last seen 3h ago, or Not seen yet for someone who hasn't opened roofingBoss since status tracking started
Your own dot is on your picture at the bottom of the sidebar.
Find someone
- Go to Sidebar → Team.
- Type in Search the team.
People are grouped under Active, Away, and Offline. Under Away and Offline, the most recently active come first.
Check team activity (admins)
- Go to Sidebar → Team.
- Click Activity.
Last 4 weeks has a row per person:

Days and times are in Eastern time. Workdays are Monday to Friday, counted through yesterday, so nobody is marked down for a day that isn't over. Holidays aren't known, so they count as workdays. Time on the web and the phone at the same moment counts once in the daily total.
The bar colors run from Not used through Under 30m, 30m–2h, and 2–4h to 4h+. Days before tracking started are dashed.
People with a warning are listed first:
- No activity in 3 workdays (two or more workdays in a row with no use)
- Down 60% vs. usual (their last five workdays averaged half or less of the 15 workdays before)
- Hasn't used roofingBoss yet (no use at all since tracking started)
Time in roofingBoss isn't the same as work done. Someone in the field may do most of their updates in the JobNimbus app. Use the warnings as a reason to check in, not as a score.
What's recorded
- Whether roofingBoss is open and being used, on the web or the phone app, and how long each day.
- Nothing about what you look at or type, and not your location.
- Only for the team. Customers in the portal aren't recorded.
- Not while an admin is impersonating you. Their visit doesn't count as yours.
Daily activity is kept for about 13 months.
On the phone
More → Team shows the same groups and statuses, with Search the team. Pull down to refresh. Admins can switch to Activity for each person's workdays used, daily average, time today, web and phone split, warnings, and a bar per day.
The phone counts as active while the app is on screen. It switches to away when you leave the app, and to offline a few minutes later.
