What customers see on www.roofingboss.ai, where requests from the site go, and how to get into the Studio to edit it.

The public website at www.roofingboss.ai is Blue Sky Roofing's marketing site. Homeowners use it to price a roof, read the blog, find community events, and look up their home. Staff edit parts of it in Sanity Studio.

On wide screens the header shows Blog, Service Areas, Estimates, and Community. The other pages are linked from the footer. On phones and tablets, the pages are under Menu, along with Appearance (System, Day, or Night). Customer login opens the customer portal sign-in. Team login, in the footer, opens the dashboard sign-in.

If a visitor opens an address the site doesn't have, such as an old link or a typo, they see We couldn't find that page with links to the homepage, estimates, the blog, and service areas, the main phone number, and an address bar to start a quote. If a page fails to load, they see This page didn't load with Try again and the phone number. Old dashboard bookmarks on this site still open the dashboard.

Search engines don't list any page of the site for now. It stays hidden until it moves to Blue Sky's own domain, so links you send still work, but people won't find these pages by searching.

In the Studio you can edit the blog, the community pages, project spotlights, certifications, the homepage's As seen in label and logos, and the office addresses, phone numbers, and Google profiles in the footer. The rest of the site, including the review figures (1,000+ reviews and the 4.95 average), changes only when a developer updates it.

How a visitor asks for a quote

  1. The visitor starts typing an address in an address bar ("Start with your address"), or clicks Get quote in the header. The address bar is on the homepage and at the end of every blog post, the blog page, Projects, Reviews, and We couldn't find that page.
  2. They pick their home from the suggestions. When no suggestions appear, they can type the full street address and click Get quote (or Continue).
  3. On Choose a level, they pick In-person, Virtual, or Instant and click Continue.
  4. They answer a few questions, one at a time:
    • In-person: what the inspector should know, how soon to come out, and whether the decision maker will be home.
    • Virtual: why they need the estimate and when.
    • Instant: which materials to price.
  5. They give their name and contact details and submit. The last screen shows a summary of their answers and next steps.

For Instant, the last screen (Your instant estimate) also shows a price range for each material they picked, right away:

  • A home with a Florida home page: priced from that home's records. The visitor sees the aerial photo, property type, year built, living area, roof size, anything your team recorded about the roof, and See the full roof report for this home.
  • Any other Florida address: priced as a typical home in that city, with a link to the city's price page.
  • Outside the areas the site prices: a note that the roof can't be priced automatically yet.

These are the same ranges the Florida pages show, so a roof inspection you record in Settings → Property Pages sharpens the visitor's instant estimate too.

The Certifications, Roof service, and Repairs pages open the same flow with their own questions.

Where requests from the site go

RequestWhere it goes
Anything sent through the quote flow for a home in the counties Blue Sky servesA new Appointment Requested job in JobNimbus, so it shows up in the Scheduling Queue (and in Follow Up Boss after the next sync)
Request a referral, and quote requests roofingBoss can't place in a countyScheduler → Website Requests
Is this your home? on a Florida home pageThe queue in Settings → Property Pages. See Property pages.
Tell us about the job on the Reviews pageOpens the visitor's own email app, addressed to info@blueskyroofing.com
Volunteer and sponsorship buttons on the community pagesThe event's sign-up link, or an email to the community page's contact address. See Blue Sky Cares.

A request is sent only when the visitor presses the last button (for example Request the inspection). Nothing is saved for someone who stops partway through.

For homes in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Manatee, and Sarasota counties, roofingBoss creates the JobNimbus contact, or uses the existing one with the same email or mobile phone, and an Appointment Requested job with no sales rep. The job's description lists the request type and every answer.

Everything else waits in Scheduler → Website Requests: referrals for other counties, addresses roofingBoss can't place, requests sent from a preview of the site, and any request JobNimbus didn't accept. Click Send to JobNimbus to create the appointment, or Mark handled once you've dealt with it another way.
