Property pages
Handle homeowner requests to hide or correct a home's public page, and record what the team saw on a roof.
Every Florida home in roofingBoss's property list has a public page on the Blue Sky website. Property Pages is where the team keeps those pages accurate. Open it from Sidebar → Settings → Property Pages. It isn't on the Settings hub. To see what the public pages look like, read Website.
Only Blue Sky staff can use this screen: admins and anyone linked to a JobNimbus user. Everyone else sees "Only Blue Sky team members can manage property pages."
Everything here is saved in roofingBoss only. JobNimbus never sees it. The public page updates within about a minute.
Handle homeowner requests
Homeowners use the "Is this your home?" form on their home's page to ask Blue Sky to Hide this page or Correct the details. Their requests land in Homeowner requests. Open shows requests waiting on you, and Recently handled shows ones the team already approved or declined.
Each row shows:
- Home: the address, which opens the public page, plus the city, ZIP, and parcel number. Page hidden marks a page that's already hidden.
- Request: what they asked for. Handled requests also show who approved or declined them.
- From: the requester's name, email, and phone.
- Message and the date it was Received.
Confirm the requester owns the home before you approve, for example by calling or emailing them back. Requests come from a public form.
To hide a page:
- Confirm the requester owns the home.
- Click Approve.
- Click Hide page.
The page comes down and drops out of search results the next time search engines check.
To correct the details:
- Update the roof details with Record a roof inspection.
- Click Approve on the request.
- Click Mark done.
Only the roof details can be changed here. Facts that come from the county's public records, such as the year built, can't be edited.
To turn a request down, click Decline. Nothing changes on the page.
Bring back a hidden page
- Click Recently handled.
- Find the approved hide request.
- Click Restore page.
Record a roof inspection
What the team sees on a roof goes on the home's public page. It's also what makes the page stand out in search.
- Under Record a roof inspection, enter the Street address and ZIP.
- Click Find home.
- Click the home in the list. Has roof details marks homes that already have an inspection.
- Fill in what you know. Leave anything you don't know on Not recorded.
- Click Save roof details.
- Click View public page to check the result.
The form fields are:
- What was it?: On-site inspection, Virtual inspection, Measurement report, Completed job, or Homeowner told us
- Date of the visit
- Roof material, Measured size (squares), Pitch, and Stories
- Year the roof was installed and Condition (Good, Fair, or Poor)
- County roof permits: Roof permit on file with the Last roof permit year, No roof permit found, or Not checked
- What we saw: a short write-up in plain words
The form opens with the home's last saved details, and saving replaces them. If something doesn't add up, such as a visit date in the future, a Fix these before saving box lists what to change.
Everything in the form is public, including What we saw and the permit check. Describe the roof, not the people who live there. The name of the person who saved the details isn't shown publicly.
If you see "No Florida home with that street address and ZIP is in the property list", check the street spelling. That county may not be loaded yet.
