Fleet
See where every truck and trailer is, what it's doing, and where it drove on any day.
The Fleet page shows live locations from the OneStep GPS trackers on Blue Sky's trucks and trailers. Go to Sidebar → Operations → Fleet. The vehicle list is on the left and the map is on the right. Anyone who can sign in to the dashboard can see it. The page only reads from OneStep GPS, so nothing you do here changes a tracker.
The page refreshes itself every 30 seconds while it's open, and the header shows when it last updated. Click Refresh to update right away. Trackers report about once a minute.
Find a vehicle
- Type in Search trucks, trailers, VIN… to match a name, year, make, model, VIN, plate, tracker, group, or status.
- Pick a group in All groups to see only that group.
- Click the status chips to show only those statuses. Pick more than one to combine them, and click a chip again to turn it off. Each chip counts the vehicles that match your other filters.
- Inactive trackers, such as unused or returned units, are hidden. Turn on Inactive to show them.
The bottom of the list shows how many trackers are showing and how many inactive ones are hidden. A tracker with no name in OneStep GPS shows in italics as "Unnamed Tracker" plus the last four characters of its ID. Name it in OneStep GPS to fix that.
Read a vehicle's status

| Driving | Moving. The list shows its speed, and its map marker points the way it's heading. |
| Idle | Engine running but not moving. |
| Stopped | Engine off. |
| Being towed | The tracker reports it's being towed. |
| Offline | The tracker hasn't reported in more than 24 hours. The map shows where it was last seen. |
| No signal | The tracker hasn't sent a usable location or status. Vehicles with no location aren't on the map. |
For Offline and No signal vehicles, the list shows Last seen and how long ago.
Use the map
- Each vehicle is a marker in its status color. Hover over it for the name and status, and click it to open the vehicle's details.
- The legend in the bottom-left corner counts the vehicles on the map by status.
- Click Fit to fleet to zoom out to every vehicle that's showing.
Check one vehicle
Click a vehicle in the list or on the map to open its details. Click the back arrow to return to the list. The selected vehicle stays on the map even if your filters would hide it.
The details show:
- Its status, groups, and Inactive tracker if that applies.
- Speed, Heading, and Updated (time since the last report).
- How long it's been in its current status, and while driving, the distance of the current trip.
- Odometer, Fuel, Battery, Vehicle, VIN, Plate, Tracker, and Coordinates.
Click Locate on map to zoom to the vehicle, or Google Maps to open its location in a new tab.
See where a vehicle went
Route history, at the bottom of the vehicle's details, shows one day of driving. It starts on today.
- Pick the Day.
- Pick Stop ≥ to set how long the vehicle has to sit still to count as a stop: 2, 5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes. The default is 5.
You get:
- A summary: Distance, Drive time, Idle, Drives, Stops, and Top speed.
- A timeline of each Drive and numbered Stop, with start and end times, how long it lasted, and for drives, distance and top speed.
- The route drawn on the map, with numbered stop markers that match the timeline.
Click a drive or stop in the timeline to zoom the map to it. Click Fit route to see the whole day. A day with no driving shows "No movement recorded for this day."
Fix setup and error messages

| OneStep GPS isn't connected yet | roofingBoss doesn't have the OneStep GPS API key. An admin with access to roofingBoss's hosting settings adds the key as ONESTEP_GPS_API_KEY and redeploys. |
| OneStep GPS rejected the API key | The key was changed or revoked in OneStep GPS. The admin replaces ONESTEP_GPS_API_KEY with the current key and redeploys. |
| Could not load fleet data | OneStep GPS didn't answer in time or is limiting requests. Wait a minute and click Try again. |
| No trackers found on this OneStep GPS account. | The key works, but the OneStep GPS account has no trackers. |
The key stays on the server. It's never sent to your browser or phone.
