Map
See jobs and contacts on a map, filter them, and open any pin's record or get directions to it.
The Map page puts jobs and contacts on a map at the location JobNimbus has for them. Go to Sidebar → Operations → Map, then pick the Jobs or Contacts tab. The map only reads from JobNimbus: moving around or filtering never changes a record.
The map uses the same copy of jobs and contacts that powers search and the Contacts list, so filters answer instantly. The header shows how many records are cached and how old the copy is, for example 10,334 jobs cached · cached 12m ago. Click Refresh to pick up records someone just added in JobNimbus. The copy also reloads by itself once it's more than an hour old.
Filter jobs
On the Jobs tab:
- Type in Search jobs... to match name, number, status, job type, address, city, state, or sales rep. The map updates as you type.
- Status: tick one or more statuses. They're listed under their stage.
- Stage: tick one or more stages, such as Lead, Sold, or In Production. A job shows when its status or its stage is ticked, the same as on the Jobs list.
- Sales Rep: one rep, or All Sales Reps.
- Job Type: one job type, or All Job Types. Picking a job type also narrows the Status list to that type's statuses.
- Date (the button with the calendar icon): under Date field, pick Created Date, Start Date, End Date, Status Change, or Updated, then choose a range or a preset such as This Month. See Filter by date.
Filter contacts
On the Contacts tab:
- Type in Search contacts... to match name, company, email, phone, address, sales rep, type, status, or lead source.
- Contact Type: tick one or more types.
- Status: tick one or more statuses. With types ticked, the list shows only those types' statuses.
- Sales Rep: one rep, or All Sales Reps.
- Lead Source: tick one or more sources.
Click Clear filters to start over. Switching tabs also clears the filters, because jobs and contacts have different ones. The filters are saved in the page's address, so you can bookmark a view or send the link to a teammate.
Read the map
- Each job pin is colored by its stage, and each contact pin by its contact type. The legend in the bottom-left corner shows each color and how many pins match your filters. Stages or types past the eighth, and statuses that aren't in a workflow, share a gray Other color.
- Where pins crowd together, they merge into a numbered circle. Click it to zoom in on those pins.
- When several records share one address, their circle stays together however far you zoom. Click it to see a list of them, with an Open button for each and Directions to that address.
- The map frames every pin that matches your filters each time you change them. Click Fit to pins to frame them again after you've moved around.
Open a record or get directions
Click a pin to see the record's name, number, status, stage or type, address, and sales rep. Then:
- Click Open to open the job or contact's detail sheet, the same one the Jobs and Contacts lists open. Changes you make there save to JobNimbus.
- Click Directions to open Google Maps directions to that spot in a new tab.
Find records that aren't on the map
A job or contact is left off the map when JobNimbus has no location for it, usually because its address is missing or JobNimbus couldn't place it. The line above the map counts the pins, such as Showing 1,204 jobs on the map, followed by a button such as 18 without a location when some records that match your filters aren't on the map.
Click that button to list them. Click one to open its detail sheet. To put it on the map, add or fix its address in JobNimbus, then click Refresh.
