Account

Edit your profile, check your CRM link, manage signed-in devices, change the app's appearance, refresh data, sign out, or delete your account.

Account shows who you're signed in as and holds your sign-in settings. To open it, go to More and tap your name at the bottom.

Edit your profile

The top card shows your photo, name, and email.

  • Change your name. Tap Update profile, change the First name and Last name, and tap Save changes. Your name shows on records you create and in the team directory.
  • Change your photo. Tap your photo, then Take photo, Choose from library, or Remove photo.

The app calls JobNimbus your CRM. Under CRM, the CRM account card shows the JobNimbus user you're linked to, marked Linked. The app shows and changes data as that user.

If it says Not linked and Blocked, you can't see JobNimbus data yet. Tap Check again after an admin links you. Admins also see an Access control button here. See Link app users to JobNimbus.

Manage sign-in and devices

Under Sign-in:

  • Email addresses lists your emails, marked Verified or Unverified, and which one is Primary.
  • Connected accounts lists the accounts you sign in with, such as Google.
  • Active devices lists every phone and browser signed in to your account, with This device marking the one you're holding. Tap Revoke on another device, then Sign out device, to sign it out.

Change the appearance

Under Preferences, Appearance has System, Light, and Dark. System follows your phone's light or dark setting. The choice is saved on this phone.

Refresh cached data

The phone keeps a copy of your lists for up to an hour so search is instant. To reload everything from JobNimbus now:

  1. Under Data, tap Refresh cached data.

To refresh one list, pull down on it instead. See Keep lists up to date.

Impersonate a teammate

Admins can see the app as a teammate sees it, the same as in the dashboard. Only admins see the Impersonation section. The list leaves out other admins unless you're a super admin, because only a super admin can impersonate another admin. See Access control.

  1. Under Impersonation, tap Impersonate user.
  2. Find the person with Search teammates and tap them.
  3. Tap Impersonate to confirm.

While you're impersonating, the top of Account says Impersonating and the person's name. Everything you do is done as that person, including changes saved to JobNimbus.

  • To switch to someone else, tap Impersonate someone else.
  • To go back to your own account, tap Revert to original user, then Revert.

Get help

The Support section has:

  • Email support, which starts an email to the roofingBoss support team.
  • Help and support, which opens the Roofing Boss support page in your browser.
  • Privacy policy, which opens the privacy policy in your browser.
  • Dashboard, which opens the roofingBoss dashboard in your browser.
  • Version, the app version and build number. Include it when you report a problem.

Sign out

Under Security:

  • Sign out ends your session on this phone.
  • Sign out of all devices ends every session on your account, including this one. Tap Sign out all to confirm.

Signing out also clears the records and recent searches saved on the phone, so the next person who signs in on a shared phone doesn't see your data.

Delete your account

Delete account deletes your roofingBoss sign-in and profile right away, for both the app and the dashboard. Your JobNimbus user isn't deleted, and notes, photos, and other records you added stay with the company.

  1. Under Security, tap Delete account.
  2. When Delete your account? asks you to confirm, tap Delete account.

The app signs you out and clears the records and searches saved on the phone, the same as Sign out, then shows Account deleted. The privacy policy describes account deletion.

If it fails, Account not deleted says why, and your account stays as it was. Two messages mean the app can't be sure:

  • Couldn't confirm the deletion: roofingBoss didn't answer, so the deletion may or may not have gone through. Tap Delete account again once you have a connection.
  • Your session has ended: sign out and sign in again, then delete your account. If you can't sign in, it's already deleted.

While you're impersonating someone, Delete account is turned off. Revert to your own account first.

Delete account is also on the Your account isn't set up yet screen. Customers delete their portal account the same way, on the customer portal's Account tab.

Deleting your account can't be undone. It removes your sign-in for both the app and the dashboard. To stop using the app on one phone, sign out instead.
