Site pages and team

Fill in and publish the terms of service, privacy policy, accessibility statement, and team page. Each stays hidden until it's published.

Four pages on the site come from the Studio and stay hidden until someone publishes them: the terms of service, Blue Sky's privacy policy, the accessibility statement, and the team page. Edit the first three under Site pages. The team page is built from Authors. Anyone invited to the Studio can edit and publish them.

Until a page is published, its address shows We couldn't find that page, and the footer doesn't link it. Search engines and AI tools aren't told about it either. A draft is visible only in the Studio.

Where they appear

PageAddressWhat it shows
Terms of service/terms-of-serviceThe terms for using the site
Privacy policy/privacy-policyBlue Sky's privacy policy for the website
Accessibility statement/accessibilityThe accessibility statement
Team/teamMeet the team: everyone with Show on the team page on

Once a page is published, the footer links it as Terms, Privacy policy, Accessibility, or Team.

The privacy policy here is Blue Sky's own. /privacy is a different page: the policy for the roofingBoss dashboard and mobile app, which the app stores link to, and it isn't edited in the Studio. While only that one is live, the footer calls it Privacy Policy. Once Blue Sky's policy is published, the footer calls the app's one App privacy policy, so the two links don't look the same.

Fill in and publish a page

  1. Select Site pages, then Terms of service, Privacy policy, or Accessibility statement.
  2. In Page text, replace each [Counsel to supply] with the final text. A page set up for counsel starts with its section headings, each followed by [Counsel to supply]. Rename, add, or remove sections as you need.
  3. Set Last updated to the day the text changed.
  4. Click Publish.

The Studio won't publish a page while any [Counsel to supply] is left in its Title, Introduction, or Page text, or while Last updated or Page text is empty. It says which field to fix.

FieldWhat it does
TitleThe heading at the top of the page. It starts as the page's name. Required.
SlugThe page's address. It's fixed, so links from the old site and the footer keep working.
Last updatedShown under the title, such as "Last updated November 1, 2026". Required. Change it whenever you publish new text.
IntroductionOptional. A short paragraph under the title. Search results use it when SEO Meta Description Override is blank.
Page textThe full text. Use H2 headings for sections: each one gets its own link, such as /privacy-policy#cookies-and-analytics, the same way blog sections do.

The SEO tab has the usual SEO Meta Title Override, SEO Meta Description Override, and Share image (see Sanity Studio). Do Not Index This Page keeps search engines from listing the page and leaves it out of the lists the site gives search engines and AI tools. The footer still links it, so visitors can find it.

In the Studio's search results, each site page shows its address and "Last updated" date, or "No last-updated date yet".

To see a page before it's published, open it in Presentation (see Preview a page before you publish). Going to /terms-of-service, /privacy-policy, or /accessibility there opens its document.

Change or take down a page

  • Change the text: edit the page, update Last updated, and click Publish. Visitors see the published text until then.
  • Take a page down: open the menu next to Publish and choose Unpublish. The page shows We couldn't find that page again and leaves the footer. The text stays in the Studio, so you can publish it again later.

The Studio has exactly one of each site page. You can't delete one, copy one, or add another.

Put someone on the team page

Turn on Show on the team page only after the person has agreed to appear there. The page is public: it shows their name, position, photo, and bio.

  1. Select Authors, and open the person, or click the create button (pencil icon) to add them.
  2. Fill in Name, Position, Image (with Alt Text), and Bio. The team page shows all four.
  3. Turn on Show on the team page.
  4. Optional: set Team page order. Lower numbers come first, and people without a number follow, by name.
  5. Click Publish.

The team page stays hidden until at least one published author has Show on the team page on. The Authors list shows "On the team page" under each person who's on it. To take someone off, turn the switch off and click Publish.

Authors are also who blog posts are credited to. Someone can write posts without being on the team page, and be on the team page without writing posts.
