Certifications

Add manufacturer certifications, pick which ones the homepage shows, and choose a row or a rotating slider.

Certifications are the manufacturer credentials Blue Sky holds, such as GAF Master Elite. You manage them in the Studio under Certifications. Anyone invited to the Studio can edit them.

These are different from the written roof certification an insurer asks for. That service has its own page at www.roofingboss.ai/certifications and isn't edited here.

Where certifications appear

  • Homepage: the Certifications section after the project slider. Each certification marked Show on the homepage shows its name (or logo) in large type with its credential underneath. Clicking one opens its entry on the certifications page. See all certifications opens the whole page.
  • Certifications page at www.roofingboss.ai/credentials: every certification shown on the site, each with its credential, the year it was earned, and a line on what it means. When a certification has a Verification link, the page shows Verify with and the name. When project spotlights use its Manufacturer, the page links to those projects. The footer links here as Manufacturer certifications.
  • Estimates and Projects pages: a compact Certified by row with every certification shown on the site, in Order: its logo (or name) and its credential. On the estimate page it sits under the quote form. On the Projects page it comes after the list, with See all certifications. Show on the homepage doesn't affect this row.

Certifications save live, with no Publish step. A new certification starts hidden, with Show on the website off. Turn it on when the certification is ready.

Add a certification

  1. Select Certifications.
  2. Click the create button (pencil icon) at the top of the list.
  3. Fill in the fields below. The certification stays hidden while you work, because Show on the website starts off.
  4. Turn on Show on the website when it's ready.
FieldWhat it does
NameWho issued it, such as GAF or Owens Corning. Shown in large type. Required.
CredentialThe short line under the name, such as "Master Elite · President's Club". Required.
LogoOptional. Replaces the large name. A wide logo on a plain or transparent background works best. Needs Alt Text.
What it meansOne or two sentences for the certifications page, such as what the manufacturer checks before awarding it.
Certified sinceThe year Blue Sky earned it, shown as "Since 2016".
Verification linkWhere someone can confirm it, such as the manufacturer's contractor directory listing for Blue Sky. Use a full https address.
ManufacturerPick one from Roof manufacturers to link the certification to that manufacturer's project spotlights.
Show on the websiteOff hides the certification everywhere, for example after it lapses. New certifications start with it off. The Studio list shows "Hidden from the site" under its name.
Show on the homepageOff keeps it on the certifications page but out of the homepage section. The Studio list shows "Not on homepage".
OrderLower numbers come first on the homepage and the certifications page. Leave it blank to put it at the end. Numbers such as 10, 20, and 30 leave room to slot one in later.

Choose which ones the homepage shows

Turn Show on the homepage on for each certification you want in the homepage section, and off for the rest. They appear in Order. When none are marked, the homepage leaves the section out.

Show them in a row or a slider

  1. Open Homepage.
  2. Under Certifications layout, pick one:
    • Automatic: a row while four or fewer are marked for the homepage, and a slider when there are more.
    • Row (all at once): every one at once, four across on a wide screen.
    • Slider (rotates): the certifications move along one at a time every few seconds, and visitors can swipe through them.
  3. Click Publish.

The slider stops while a visitor's pointer or keyboard is on it, and visitors can use the arrows or Pause rotation. It doesn't rotate on its own for visitors whose device is set to reduce motion.

Before you add any

While the Studio has no certifications at all, the site shows a starter set: GAF, Owens Corning, Gulf Coast Supply, and Brava. The team hasn't confirmed these yet. Once any certification exists, the site shows only the Studio's certifications, so add every one you want to show. Hiding them all removes the homepage section and the Certified by row, and leaves the certifications page empty. It doesn't bring the starter set back.
