Dashboard and analytics

Read the Dashboard's totals, your sales month, and your open tasks, and use Analytics for leads, close rate, sold revenue, and pipeline.

The Dashboard is roofingBoss's home page. It shows four totals from JobNimbus for the period you pick, your sales month if you're on the sales team, and your open tasks. Open it any time from Sidebar → Dashboard.

Sidebar → Analytics has the reports: Overview (on this page), Performance, Targets, Receivables, and Reviews. Analytics only reads JobNimbus. Nothing you do there changes a JobNimbus record. The targets and sales team list that admins set on Targets are saved in roofingBoss only.

Read the Dashboard

CardWhat it counts
Total JobsJobs whose contract was signed in the period.
Total Estimate ValueThe approved estimate totals on those same jobs, added up.
Total PaymentsPayments entered in JobNimbus during the period.
Total Payment AmountThe combined amount of those payments.

Jobs count by their Contract Signed Date, including jobs now in Lost. Sales targets leave those out, so the two can differ. Payments count by the day they were entered in JobNimbus, not their payment date. A check dated the 30th but entered on the 2nd counts in the later month.

Very large amounts are shortened (for example $2.67M), with the exact figure underneath.

The totals only include jobs and payments your JobNimbus user can see.

See your sales month

If you're on the sales team, a Your October card sits above the totals, with "Day 15 of 22 workdays · 8 left" under the title. It always shows the current month, whatever period you pick.

  • Sold revenue and Jobs sold against your target, with a tick where you should be by today, a pace badge, and a sentence that spells out your pace.
  • Your place on the team, such as "#3 of 7 on the team · ranked by % of revenue target".
  • Needs attention (N): your top three items, fixes first. Open job opens the job, and See all opens your full list on Targets.

Admins who aren't on the sales team get a Sales team · October card instead: the team's revenue against its target, how many reps are behind pace, how many items need attention, and a link to Targets. Everyone else sees no card. See Sales targets for how sales, pace, and items are worked out.

See your open tasks

Under the totals, My Open Tasks lists the open JobNimbus tasks where you're an owner. The number next to the title is how many you have. This card doesn't change with the period you pick.

  • Tasks are listed by their end date, soonest first. Tasks with no date come last.
  • A task shows Overdue in red once its end date has passed. An all-day task isn't overdue until its last day is over.
  • Click a task to open it on the Tasks page.
  • View all opens the Tasks page filtered to Open and you as the owner. When you have more than eight open tasks, View all N open tasks under the list does the same.

The card needs your JobNimbus link to know which tasks are yours. Without one, it asks you to link your JobNimbus account, and Go to Account opens the page where you link it.

Pick a period

The Dashboard opens on This Month, and Analytics opens on This Year. To change it:

  1. Click the date range at the top right, for example "Jan 1 - Dec 31, 2026".
  2. Under Preset range, choose a period such as Last Month, This Quarter, This Year, or All Time. Or click a start date and an end date on the calendar.

The numbers refresh for the new period. On Analytics, the period stays in the page address, so Back from a list returns to the same numbers, and a copied link opens the same period.

Read the Analytics overview

Sidebar → Analytics → Overview counts the jobs created in the period. JobNimbus doesn't record the day a job was sold, so a job counts as sold once its status is in the Sold, In Production, Accounts Receivable, or Completed stage. Stages come from your job workflows.

CardWhat it shows
LeadsJobs created in the period.
Jobs soldThose jobs that are sold now, with how many are lost and how many are still open.
Close rateJobs sold out of leads.
Sold revenueThe sold jobs' value, and the average per sold job.
Days in current statusHow long the period's open jobs have been in their status, on average.

A job's value is its approved estimate total, or its latest estimate when no estimate is approved yet.

The charts below the cards:

  • Leads and sold jobs by month: jobs created each month, and how many of them are sold now.
  • Pipeline value by stage: open jobs (Lead through Accounts Receivable) and their value. Completed and lost jobs are left out.
  • Sold revenue by lead source: where the sold jobs came from. The top sources are listed, and the rest are added up as Other.
  • Average days in current status: by stage. Jobs with no status-change date in JobNimbus are left out.

Hover over a bar to see its numbers. Click Table at the top right of a chart to see the same numbers as a table, and Chart to go back.

Open the jobs behind a number

Click a card, a bar, or a linked number in a table to open the list it counts. The Jobs list opens filtered by Created Date for the period, plus the statuses, sales rep, or lead source behind the number. Change or clear those filters like any other Jobs filter.

Other in the lead-source chart doesn't open a list. Use Table to click a single source instead.

Refresh the numbers

Analytics reads a saved copy of your JobNimbus records, so the pages load quickly. The line under the title says how many records the numbers are based on and when the copy was last refreshed. The copy refreshes on its own within an hour. To get the latest now, click Refresh.

The numbers only include records your JobNimbus user can see.

Reviews

Sidebar → Analytics → Reviews is a preview of a planned page. It's marked Sample data: the reviews, ratings, and totals are made-up examples, not your customers' reviews, so don't use them for decisions.
