Jobs
See every JobNimbus job as a table, a Kanban board, or a calendar, with totals for whatever you've filtered.
The Jobs page lists your JobNimbus jobs and lets you work them three ways: a sortable table, a Kanban board by status, and a schedule calendar. Open it from Sidebar → Jobs.
Changes you make here (status moves, schedule drags, edits) are saved to JobNimbus.
What's on the page
From the top:
- View options (Table only), the Table / Kanban / Calendar switch, Full screen (Kanban only), and Create New Job. On a phone these buttons show icons only.
- The stats header.
- The Jobs Management card: the Search jobs... box, + Filter, your active filter chips, and the current view.
When you open Jobs with no filters, it starts filtered to Contract Signed Date in this month. Click Clear all under the search box to see every job. See Filter jobs.
To keep a set of filters, columns, and sort for later or for your team, save it as a list. See saved lists.
Read the stats header
The stats cover every job that matches your filters, not just the page you're looking at:
- Total Jobs
- Total Estimates and Total Invoices: the total estimated and invoiced value
- Avg Estimate and Avg Invoice per job
- Total Squares: the sum of installed squares
To get the room back, collapse the cards into one line:
- Click the arrow at the right of the stats, or press Ctrl + . (⌘ + . on a Mac).
- Click the collapsed line to expand it again.
Your browser remembers the choice. On a phone the stats start collapsed.
Work in the table
The table is the default view. It shows 20 jobs per page.
- Click a row to open the job's detail sheet.
- Click a column header to sort. Click it again to reverse the order. The CompanyCam column doesn't sort.
- Drag a column header to move the column.
- Open View options to change Page size (10, 20, 50, or 100) and to show or hide columns. Columns are grouped by category, and custom fields are grouped by type. Reset goes back to the default columns. Show all turns every column on.
The default columns are Job #, Name, City, Status, Created, Est. Total, Sales Rep, Assigned To, Contract Signed Date, and CompanyCam. Assigned To lists everyone on the job's assigned team. CompanyCam shows a camera icon when the job is linked to a CompanyCam project. Click the icon to open the project's photos.
The column layout and sort are saved with a saved list.
Move jobs on the Kanban board
Click Kanban to see one column per status, in your workflow's order (Lead, Estimating, Sold, and so on). Each column header shows how many jobs it has and their total estimate value. Each card shows the job number and name, city, job type, sales rep, date created, and estimate total.
To change a job's status, drag its card to another column. The new status is saved to JobNimbus, and a message confirms the move. Click a card to open the job.
The board follows your filters:
- With no status filter, you get a column for every status. Pick a Job Type filter to see only that workflow's statuses.
- With a Status or Stage filter, you only get columns for the statuses you picked.
- The board loads up to 2,000 matching jobs. If more match, a note under the board tells you to narrow your filters.
Show the board full screen
Use this to put a pipeline on an office TV.
- Click Full screen. The board fills the browser window, with the stats collapsed to one line at the top.
- To hide the browser's own toolbars too, click the expand icon at the top right (Full screen (hide browser chrome)).
- To leave, press Esc or click the X.
Switching away from Kanban also closes full screen.
Schedule jobs on the calendar
Click Calendar to see jobs on their start and end dates. Use Month, Week, Day, or List, the arrows, and Today to move around. Each job uses its sales rep's calendar color from JobNimbus. Click a job to open it.
A job is either all-day or has times. To set times, edit the job's Schedule and enter a start and end time. Leave the times blank for an all-day job. See Edit a field.
All-day jobs appear as a block across your business hours on every day they cover. The hours come from your location's business hours in JobNimbus, or 7 AM to 8 PM if none are set. The note under the calendar says which.
To reschedule, drag in the calendar. Each change is saved to JobNimbus right away.
- Move a job: drag it to another day. For a multi-day all-day job, drag its first or last day to move the whole job.
- Change a timed job's hours: drag it, or drag its bottom edge to change the end time.
- Start later or finish early: in Week or Day, drag the first day of an all-day job down to start later that day. Drag or resize the last day to finish earlier, for example at noon, so another job can start that afternoon. The job then has times instead of being all-day.
- Middle days of a multi-day job can't be moved on their own. You get a Can't reschedule a middle day message explaining what to do instead.
The calendar only shows jobs that have a start date. It loads up to 200 matching jobs, and the note under it tells you when more match.
The Date chip is hidden in Calendar view, but a date filter you set in another view still applies, including the default Contract Signed Date filter. If jobs are missing from the calendar, switch to Table and remove the Date chip.
